Zambales boasts of sweetest mangoes

by Recto Mangosing Adamos

Iba, Zambales -- The sweetest mangoes in this island can be found in this province.

The simmering air of arid temperature this summer calls for the outing and picnic among vacationers. Where go and spend these dull days is no big deal.

The Zambales Mango Festival is an upcoming event in this town, dubbed as "Dinamulag" 2006, from April 26 until 29 this year, a project of the provincial governor.

The affair will be highlighted by various events in the town of Iba which include: painting contest depicting mango as the subject; search for the largest and heaviest, sweetest, and best quality mango in the province; best desert mango, and mango as main ingredient in cocktail mixing for bartendering.

The road going to this province is long and unwinding, but for those who dream of nature as an escape to hot summer days, and the province is along the coastline of the South China Sea, offer beaches for sun bathers, sun tanners, and beating the dooldrum of heat wave.

Almost all of the town going up north, the availability of resorts, cottages to accommodate the influx of tourist are aplenty, at a nominal cost.

Come see the beauty the province haves, surely you will come back again, and again. (PIA)
