Robber killed in shootout
SAN Marcelino, Zambales ` One of four holdupmen was killed in a shootout with joint operatives of the 315th Police Mobile Group and the Special Action Force in Sitio Lawin, Barangay San Pablo, Castillejos, Zambales Saturday.
Police identified the fatality as a certain Oliver. One of his companions, Richard Battad, was wounded and taken to the San Marcelino Dictrict Hospital. Two other companions eluded arrest.
Police said Paul Ilas, a local businessman of Sitio Dulit, Barangay Nagbunga, this town, and his driver lost P32,000, a cellphone and assorted jewelry to the suspects.
A report said the operatives engaged the suspects in shootout, killing Oliver.
Police recovered at the scene two cal. .38 revolvers, bullets and shells
