• A terribly irritated Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority chief executive Armand Arreza wrote to deny that none of the SBMA directors have hired the services of the Cayetano law firm, as had been reported in this column.
He said the proposed imposition of “Manila-like” parking fees within the Subic free port area was a planned venture of the SBMA Cooperative, not the SBMA itself. It was not clear under what franchise the cooperative would be using for such a financial scheme.
