OCPO CELEBRATES 17TH ANNIVERSARY OF PNP
Outstanding uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO) were given recognitions during the city’s celebration of the 17th Anniversary of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
With the theme “Mamang Pulis, Tagapagtaguyod ng Karapatang Pantao Tungo sa Kapanatagan ng Mamamayan,” the city’s police force celebrated the anniversary of the PNP through a simple program held at Camp Cabal in Brgy. Barretto with Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. as guest speaker.
In the said program, OCPO recognized the outstanding performance of some of its personnel. Mayor Bong Gordon together with First Lady Zambales Vice Governor Anne Gordon and City Director PSSupt. Abelardo Villacorta led the awarding of the certificates of recognition.
Police Station 4 was recognized as Best Police Station of the Year. Individual awardees were PSInsp. Cesar Cabling as Best Police Station Commander, PCInsp. Jose Barrozo as Police Commissioned Officer of the Year for Administration, PInsp. Julius Javier as Police Commissioned Officer of the Year for Operation, SPO4 Jerry Pasamonte as Staff Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, PO1 Vivianne Reyes as Staff Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, SPO4 Crisanto Taloban as Field Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, PO3 Wilfredo Basa as Field Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, Spo1 Mary Ann Severino for Women and Children’s Protection Center of the Year and NUP Marichu Olea as Best Non-Uniformed Personnel of the Year.
Special awards were also given to PO3 Carmelito Mayo, City Prosecutor Emily Delos Santos, Atty. Ferdinand Hernandez, Arch. Jerry Taloy, Angelito Layug, Rosario Snyder, Angelita Domingo, Brgy. Capt. Benjamin Franco as Brgy. Capt. of the Year, Subic Bay Corps and Brgy. Sta Rita BPSO as Barangay Tanod of the Year.
Still part of the program was the inauguration of the Maquinaya Walk inside the camp and the blessing of the newly issued police vehicles.
