Robbers take P10K from DHL in Olongapo
Suspected robbers on Wednesday morning tried breaking in two commercial establishments in Zambales province and took away P10,000.
GMA’s Flash Report quoted the manager of the Accord Bank branch in Olongapo City as saying that shortly after arriving at the bank about 8 a.m., they discovered that one of their walls was already damaged.
Investigators said the suspected robbers could have initially created a hole through the wall of the bank but failed to penetrate its entire thickness due to the steel fortifying the concrete wall.
The robbers then fled to a neighboring branch of the DHL Express Philippines were they were able to pry open its cash vault and take away P10,000 stored in it.
The DHL manager said they arrived at their office about 7:30 a.m. with their backdoor already opened and the money from their vault already missing.
Local authorities believe that only one robbery group was responsible for both robbery incidents. - Mark Merueñas, GMANews.TV
