EXTRA CASH GIFT FROM MAYOR BONG GORDON

Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon has ordered the release of some P 12 M as ‘extra cash gift’ for City and National government employees.

The funds amounting to P 12.7 M is from the savings of the city government and without any assistance from the National Government.

Employees from the other branches of the government will be receiving cash incentives. These offices include the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), Internal Affairs Marshall, Crime Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT), Bureau of Fire (Local and Provincial), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Reserve of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and City Maritime.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Post Office and other national agencies will also be receiving cash incentives.

The incentives that will be given to employees is in part in recognition of their exemplary performance and service as evidenced by the awards that the city received recently including the ‘Most Competitive City Award,” “National Peace and Order Award,” “Most Child Friendly City Award,” and others.
