Olongapo village wins with 'Most Outstanding Tagapamayapa' in Region III
OLONGAPO CITY — Barangay East Tapinac, headed by chairman Ben Franco, was recently awarded for having the "Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa" in the entire Region III.
Mayor James Gordon Jr. and Franco proudly announced the news during the flag raising ceremony Monday morning at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center.
The award was given by the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards (LTIA) for the Highly Urbanized Cities category.
Franco received the award on behalf of East Tapinac at the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) office in Maimpis, Pampanga.
“We received this award not for East Tapinac only but for all of us Olongapeno. I thank our Mayor James Gordon, Vice Mayor Cynthia Cajudo and the Department of Interior and Local Government City Director Eli De Guzman and the our constituents who worked really hard to achieve this recognition," Franco said.
"After the regional award, Barangay East Tapinac's Lupong Tagapamayapa would compete in the national level. Again, I am hopeful that we would bag the same award in the national level," he noted. (PNA -LAP/Malou Dungog/ps/utb)
