8 nabbed for drugs
EIGHT persons, including a woman and her two children, were arrested by drug enforcement agents in Olongapo City and Urdaneta City.
Olongapo City police director Senior Supt. Florencio Buentipo, Jr. said the local Drug Enforcement Agency arrested Erlinda Guevara, 58, and children Chanda, 24, and Jason Layson, 25, of 1331 Cristobal St., Barangay Sta. Rita, at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
The operatives led by Senior Insp. Leo Batinga arrested the suspects while selling shabu worth P300 to a poseur buyer.
The lawmen also collared Charlie Guevara, 22; Melicent Garcia, 24, of Barangay Matain, Subic, Zambales; Erwin Lico, 22, of Mactan, Old Cabalan, and Antonio Macalde, 25, of Barangay Sta. Rita, while having a pot session inside Erlinda's house. All the suspects were detained at DEG detention cell.
In Urdaneta City, a suspected shabu pusher who allegedly plies operates near the university area was nabbed in a buy bust yesterday.
Augusto Guzon alias Tata, 49, of Barangay Faurid, was collared after selling shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Seized from Tata were a weighing scale, 11 pads of small plastic of shabu, 10 grams of shabu and cal. .22 pistol with six live ammunition.
The suspect was charged yesterday before the city prosecutor's office for violation of RA 9165. Johnny R. Reblando, Melchor Caspe.
