SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD NG OLONGAPO OPISYAL NG BINUKSAN
Pormal nang binuksan ang Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Olongapo nitong ika-4 ng Hulyo 2007 sa FMA Hall ng City Hall.
Ang 1st Regular o Inaugural Session na pinangunahan ni Vice-Mayor at Presiding Officer Cynthia Cajudo ay sinimulan sa pamamagitan ng roll call sa mga miembro ng konseho na sina Kgd. Gina G. Perez, Kgd. Marey Beth D. Marzan, Kgd. Edwin J. Piano, Kgd. Elmo A. Aquino, Kgd. John Carlos G. delos Reyes, Kgd. Ellen C. Dabu, Kgd. Rodel S. Cerezo, Kgd. Aquilino Y. Cortez, Kgd. Angelito Baloy at Kgd. Sarah Lugerna Lipumano-Garcia.
Matapos ito, ay isa-isang binasa ang mga agenda, proposed ordinances, resolutions, petitions, messages, endorsements at ilan pang komunikasyon kasunod ang pagbasa ng Committee Reports at Calendar of Business.
Naging espesyal na panauhin sa nagbukas na sesyon si City Mayor James ‘’Bong’’ Gordon, Jr., ‘’It is my fondest hope that these three years shall usher more meaningful services to the people of Olongapo through mutual and effective collaboration between the City’s Executive and Legislative bodies,’’ wika ng punong-lungsod.
Nanawagan rin ang punong-lungsod na patuloy na magkaisa at maghawak-kamay para sa mas maunlad na Olongapo. Sumaksi rin sa unang araw ng sesyon ang barangay officials, department heads, civic organizations, ka-pamilya at kaibigan ng bumubuo ng Sanggunian.
