Zambales task force created to investigate mining operations

Iba, Zambales -- Provincial Government of Zambales created task force "Kalikasan", to supervise local mining operations which regards to its effect among local residents affected, this was the address to the provincial council of Governor Amor Deloso, among local government attendees and non government agencies,

Mining operations have opened in towns of Castillejos, San Marcelino, San Antonio, Cabangan, Botolan, Masinloc, Candeleria, and Santa Cruz.

Data from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) indicate that chromites, nickel, manganese, and platinum were present in Santa Cruz, while gold in Castillejos and San Marcelino.

According to the Provincial Government, after 75 year s of exploiting our natural resources, these mining companies failed to partake from them, their social responsibility among the constituents, during and after leaving the drilling site. (By Recto Mangosing Adamos PIA Zambales)
