Olongapo Trader yields gun

OLONGAPO CITY – Elements of the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT), led by Supt. John Lopez, arrested the other day a businessman who was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and bullets in his house on St. Jones Street, here.

Senior Superintendent Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar said the apprehension of Roberto Go was in line with the directive of higher-ups under "Oplan Paglalansag" to rid the country of loose firearms and neutralize all criminal elements.

Col. Eleazar said the raid at Go’s house was covered by a search warrant issued by Judge Richard Paradeza of the Regional Trial Court Branch 72, here. Go yielded a 9mm pistol and live ammunition. (Mar T. Supnad)
