SCHOLARSHIP PARA SA MGA YOUNG GOV’T EMPLOYEES

Inanyayahan ni City Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. ang mga young government employees ng Olongapo na magsumite ng kanilang aplikasyon para sa handog na scholarship ng Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) project ng Pamahalaang Pilipinas.

Layon ng proyektong ito na bigyang oportunidad ang mga Pilipino na magkamit ng Master’s Degree sa mga dekalidad na educational institutions ng bansang Japan at nang sila’y makatulong na mapaigting ang human resource ng Pamahalaang Pilipinas tungo sa pagpapatatag ng magandang ugnayan sa pagitan ng bansang Japan at Pilipinas.

Bukas ang nasabing proyekto sa dalawampu’t limang (25) Pilipino na nagnanais kumuha ng Master’s Degree; walo (8) sa Public Administration, walo (8) sa Economics, tatlo (3) sa Information and Communication Technology, dalawa (2) sa Industrial Development at apat (4) sa Business Administration.

Narito ang mga pamantayan sa mga nagnanais mag-apply:

1. Filipino Citizen
2. Below 40 years old as of April 1, 2008
3. Civilian Government employee, permanent status, and has 2 years of work experience in the public sector at the time of application
4. Has a performance rating of at least “very satisfactory” at the time of application
5. Bachelor’s degree relevant to the target fields except for ICT field, which applicants should have bachelor’s degree in ICT or equivalent is required
6. Has not been awarded foreign scholarship for Master’s degree

Samantala, heto naman ang mga documentary requirements:

Requirements from JICE Office
1. Application Forms: with Pictures (4cm x 3cm) attached on the first page of each set

2. Questionnaires: 2 kinds needed to be filled out

3. Registration Form: 1 Original with picture (4cm x 3cm)

4. Reference Letter “Annex 1” by the academic advisor of the university attended, and sealed in a legal sized envelop upon submission. DO NOT OPEN

5. Reference Letter “Annex 2” (Prescribed form): duly accomplished by the current employer, and sealed in a legal sized envelope upon submission. DO NOT OPEN

6. a. (if any) Valid official certificate of IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL: (CBT-213; PBT-550) or above. The score taken within 2 years is valid, TOEFL prediction shall not be accepted

b. Those who have not taken the test should submit the following: IELTS Application Form: 3 passport-sized pictures with signature on front-right-hand side. Do not use Stapler.

c. Verification Form: Original copy to be submitted in lieu of the following Valid ID: [Passport/GSIS Policy/Driver’s License/PRC ID]

Requirements from Applicant’s University

7. Official Transcript of Records and University Certificate or Diploma (undergraduate & postgraduate): 1 Original/Certified True Copy and 4 photocopies. Each item with university seal and written in English or accompanied with an official English translation by the University
Requirements from other Government Agencies/Offices

8. Authenticated Birth Certificate from NSO

9. NBI Clearance (Valid for travel abroad)

10. (if any) Passport and 5 photocopies of the first and last pages only
Requirements from Applicant’s Office

(Items 12-16, issued by the Legal/Administrative Office, HRD Dept. Or Internal Scholarships Committee of the Agency, 1 Original/Certified True Copy and 1 Photocopy)

11. Official Nomination Letter: issued by the Parent Agency (signed by the designated officials or the Chairman of its Internal Scholarships Committee)

12. Performance Appraisal Report Form: (July 1-December 31, 2006 and January 1-June 30, 2007) signed by the Head of Agency, or Immediate Supervisor, or HRM Manager with a rating of at least Very Satisfactory

13. Each of the following Certifications (a-c):

a. No pending Administrative of Criminal Charges
b. No pending nomination to other local or foreign training/scholarship programs
c. No pending service obligation from previous trainings attended

14. Official Service Record

15. Statement of Actual Duties & Responsibilities § Customized version

16. Updated resume with list of local/foreign trainings. No need to attach the certificates. 1 Original and 1 Photocopy

Maaaring isumite ang mga aplikasyon hanggang sa October 19, 2007, 4:30pm sa tanggapan ng JICE JDS Project, Unit 2-F1, Isalnd Plaza Salcedo, 105 L.P. Leviste Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City.

Sinumang mapalad na papasa sa naturang scholarship program ay pagkakalooban ng one round trip airfare sa pagitan ng Manila at Narita o Kansai Airports, buwanang living allowance sa Japan, matrikula sa mga Japanese higher educational institutions at iba pang mga allowances.
