Caltex Fiesta Cleaners campaign to kick off in Cebu

CHEVRON Philippines Inc., marketer of engine-cleaning fuel brand Caltex with Techron, takes cleanliness to the next level with its environmental campaign called Caltex Fiesta Cleaners.

It highlights the importance of maintaining cleanliness not only in one’s engine but the environment as well.

The program involves the deployment of 1000 Caltex Cleaners who will be tasked to clean the streets after every major festivity in various parts of the Philippines.

“It’s important to remember that while fiesta celebrations give us the time to cheer and enjoy, it also requires us to be responsible citizens. Through this program we want to encourage people, by example, to take the initiative of cleaning up after a celebration,” said Mark Quebral, Chevron manager for Policy, Government and Public Affairs.

Caltex Fiesta Cleaners will kick off in Cebu, with Chevron Philippines deploying the Caltex Cleaners to tidy the streets after the festivities of the Sinulog Festival.

The Caltex Cleaners will do the post-festival cleanup in the streets of Cebu during the wee hours of the morning after the parade.

The program will also be implemented during the Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo, the 12th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Subic, and the Buling-Buling in Pandacan, Manila.

Aside from the cleanup, the company will sponsor fuel for the Sinulog Chopper that will shower the streets with confetti during the celebration.
