SK Federation Officers Take Oath of Office

Newly elected officials of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation – Olongapo chapter led by Cheenee Hoya as president took their oath of office last January 10, 2008.

‘’Inaasahan ko na magiging isang buhat ang SK Federation sa pag-suporta sa mga programa ng lungsod lalo na sa mga programang may kinalaman sa kabataan. Umasa rin kayo na buo ang aking suporta sa inyong mga programa,’’ Mayor Bong Gordon stated after administering the oath taking rites.

Sixteen-year (16) old SK Chairman of Brgy. Barretto Cheenee Hoya will represent the interest of the children and youth of Olongapo City as elected president of the SK Federation.

‘’Sesentro sa unang tatlong programa ang pederasyon kabilang na ang pagtutok sa kalinisan at pagpapanatili ng ma-berdeng kapaligiran katulad ng pagtatanim ng mga puno at halaman o ang ‘’Clean and Green Program,’’ Hoya stressed.

‘’Ang edukasyon ay para sa lahat ng kabataan dahil ito ang susi sa magandang kinabukasan kaya mas maraming mahihirap na kabataan ang sisikapin kong makakuha ng Scholarship Program,’’ the young SK president added.

She also said, ‘’Upang maiparating sa mga katulad kung kabataan ang mga nagawa at gagawin pang programa ng pederasyon ay bubuo kami ng Newsletter na aming ipapakalat para sa information dissemination ng mga kabataang Olongapeño”.

The said oath taking ceremony was witnessed by Olongapo First Lady and Zambales Vice Governor Anne Marie Gordon, City Councilor Marey Beth Marzan, DILG City Director Eliseo De Guzman and City Administrator Ferdie Magrata.

Hoya will formally join the city councilors on the third Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panglungsod on January 17, 2008.
