Olongapo Councilor Bebeth Marzan Resigned

Olongapo City Councilor MareyBeth Daduya Marzan delivered her irrevocable resignation speech earlier today during a regular session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod. Bebeth resigned because she accepted an appointment to be the City Planning and Development Officer (CPDO) from City Mayor James "Bong" Gordon, Jr.

Following Kgd. Marzan's resignation, the city council, on motion of Councilor Edwin Piano, unanimously approved RESOLUTION NO. 2008 – R-003 – A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINMENT OF MS. MAREY BETH D. MARZAN AS CITY GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT HEAD II, SG 26 UNDER THE CITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE (CPDO).

Former CPDO Architect Tony-Karr Balde had been reassigned to be the Department Head of the City Architect's Department.
