City Library Receives Books

Mayor Bong Gordon expressed appreciation to Helping Hands Healing Hearts Ministries for donating nursing books to the City Public Library recently.

In the flag raising ceremony of the city officials and employees this week, Mayor Gordon thanked the Helping Hands Healing Hearts Ministries, a private organization that donated less than a hundred nursing and medical books for the library.

The said books were delivered to the library through Marissa dela Peña, a city resident.

“In behalf of the people of Olongapo, I thank those who continuously support our City Public Library”, Mayor Gordon said.

The mayor believes that the additional nursing books in the library will be of great help for the nursing students of Gordon College and even of the different colleges in the city. Beth Daduya, supervising administrative officer of the library as well attested that the academic books, encyclopedias, and a wide variety of reference materials in the library can also be of assistance for students and researchers alike.

Meanwhile, Mayor Gordon encourages all Olongapeños to support the city library. Students are likewise being encouraged to visit the library for additional knowledge and information through its broad selection of books and reference materials. For donations, contact Beth Daduya or call telephone numbers 224-8634. The library is open from Mondays thru Fridays, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
