Liga ng mga Barangay Officers Take Oath of office
The officers of the Liga ng mga Barangay – Olongapo Chapter took their oath of office in front of the city officials and employees this January 2, 2008 at Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Covered Court.
Mayor Bong Gordon administered the oath taking of the officers who were elected by the Barangay Chairmen of Olongapo themselves.
For the second time, Barangay Chairman Carlito Baloy of Brgy. Barretto has been elected as the president. Baloy will again serve as the voice and representative of the seventeen barangays of Olongapo in the city council.
Meanwhile, East Tapinac Brgy. Chairman Benjamin Franco was elected vice president of the association and New Cabalan Brgy. Chairman Audie Sundiam as auditor. Eight board members were also elected namely, Filipina Tablan of East Bajac-Bajac, Edgardo Gingco of Gordon Heights, Ricardo Federico of Kalaklan, Edgardo Danugrao, Jr. of Mabayuan, Amalia Corum of New Kababae, Eduardo Gloria of New Kalalake, Jimmy Pasag of Pag-asa and Rodrigo del Rosario of West Tapinac.
The Liga ng mga Barangay election was conducted last December 29, 2007 at the FMA Hall of the Olongapo City Hall.
