FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM MAYOR BONGGO

Twenty one (21) beneficiaries received financial help from Olongapo City Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon Jr. and Zambales Vice Governor and Olongapo City First Lady Anne Marie Gordon. Vice Governor Anne Gordon gave the checks to the recipients on September 17, 2008 at the Mayor’s Office in the Olongapo City Hall.

The beneficiaries that were granted financial assistance were rigidly assessed by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) to determine who are deserving and in need of urgent assistance.

Ina-asses namin sila tapos we give the recommendation to Mayor Gordon para mabigyan sila ng tulong,” explained CSWDO chair Gene Eclarino.

The assistance is part of Mayor Gordon’s social welfare initiatives, which is part of his HELPS program, for the indigent families of the city.
