623 Novo Vizcayanos now working in Hanjin Subic
Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya - At least 623 skilled workers from the province are now working at Hanjin Ship Building company in Olongapo City, officials of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) here said.
Eva Doniego, technical skills development officer said that the workers who completed a two-month skills training before their employment to the company are now sending their salaries to their respective families in the province.
"Despite the dangers and risks on their work, they remain to be safe. They told us that it is up to them to do and perform safety precautions during their work," Doniego said.
The workers, she said are now proud Novo Vizcayanos because of their contribution in reducing the unemployment rate in Nueva Vizcaya.
The 623 workers from the province, Doniego said was part of the huge number of skilled workers needed by the shipping company in the country. (bme/PIA NVizcaya)
