‘’PANGALAGAAN NATIN ANG KATAHIMIKAN NG LUNGSOD’’ – Mayor Gordon

‘’Huwag nating bigyan ng pagkakataon ang masamang elemento na maglipana sa Olongapo,’’ yan ang wika ni City Mayor James ‘’Bong’’ Gordon, Jr. sa mga miembro ng bagong organisang Multi-Department Emergency Response Team ng lungsod.

Ang team na binuo ni Mayor Bong Gordon kamakailan lamang ay may layuning agarang tumugon at magresponde sa mga papasok na tawag buhat sa mga residente ng lungsod at iba pang sangay ng pamahalaang lokal.

Ang mga miembro ng team ay aantabay maging sa mga araw ng Sabado at Linggo lalo na sa mga panahon ng emergency na kinakailangang bukas ang komunikasyon ng City Hall at ng mamamayan nito.

. Ito ay binubuo ng skeleton crew mula sa mga department/offices kung saan ang Department Head, Assistant Department Head o Division Head ang nakatalagang Officer-of-the Day.

Mandato ng Officer-of-the Day na magpatupad ng nararapat na aksyon at magpalabas ng mga tutugong personnel nito kung kinakailangan.

Ang City Health Department, Traffic Management Unit, Engineering Department at City Social Welfare and Development Office ang bumubuo ng Multi-Department Response Team.

Ang James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital (JLGMH), Disaster Management Team/CDCC, Public Utilities Department (PUD) at Environmental Sanitation Management Office (ESMO) na mga departamentong regular na nagmamantine ng staff sa weekends ay kabilang rin sa team.

Si Acting City Administrator Ferdie Magrata ang tumatayong Over-all coordinator ng team na naka—Headquarter sa reception area ng Office of the City Mayor.

Samantala, dalawamput-apat (24) na oras ring handang tumugon ang Mayor’s extension Office na matatagpuan sa mismong residesiya ni Mayor Bong Gordon.
