IST GORDON’S CUP INTER BARANGAY BOWLING TOURNAMENT

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. announced after the flag raising ceremony on October 06, 2008 at the Rizal Triangle Multi-purpose covered court the winners of the Ist Gordon’s Cup Inter Barangay Bowling Tournament.

The awarding ceremony of the Tournament with the theme “Sports for Peace, Teamwork and Excellence” was held at Olongapo Crystal Lanes on October 2, 2008.

Present were Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr., Vice-Mayor Cynthia Cajudo, SK Federation President Cheenee Hoya, City Councilors Rodel S. Cerezo, Ellen Dabu and Jonathan Manalo and East Tapinac Barangay Captain Ben Franco.

Barangay Banicain emerged as champion with a total score of 9865 , Barangay Sta. Rita bagged second place with the score of 9776. The first six individual winners are:

“Ipagpatuloy pa natin ang pagsulong sa ganitong klaseng programa, dahil sa pamamagitan nito, hindi lang pisikal ang nahuhubog pati na rin ang magandang pagsasamahan ng bawat empleyado, at kaakibat nito ang tuluy-tuloy na pag-unlad ng Olongapo City,” Mayor Gordon said in his speech.
