OLONGAPO’S PESO CITED

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through Angelita S. Fernando, DOLE Provincial Director of Zambales, awarded Olongapo as the Best Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Finalist in Region III in the ‘Highly Urbanized City category during the flag raising ceremony last June 16, 2008.

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon Jr. received a Plaque of Citation as the ‘City Local Chief Executive’ along with Evelyn Delos Santos, PESO manager.

Other Region III cities which competed in the category included Angeles City and Tarlac City. The award was based on the monthly and yearly accomplishment reports of the city’s respective PESO.

Delos Santos also received a Certificate of Recognition for her dedication and service in implementing the programs of PESO.

For interested job seekers, PESO still accepts applications for various jobs openings at the Ground Floor, Olongapo City Hall. PAO/don
